A noite de ontem foi de festa com a transmissão do PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS 2020, direto de Santa Monica, Califórnia, com exclusividade no E! Entertainment. Pela primeira vez, a premiação em que os fãs são os únicos jurados reconheceu também celebridades da América Latina, como Manu Gavassi, que foi a grande vencedora na categoria Influenciadora Brasileira de 2020. Ela recebeu o prêmio virtualmente durante o intervalo da cerimônia.
O PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS 2020 premiou os astros e estrelas favoritos do público em 44 categorias, entre cinema, música, televisão e cultura pop. Nesta edição, a grande homenageada foi Jennifer Lopez, agraciada com o “People’s Icon Award” por suas atuações no cinema, nos palcos e como empresária, destacando suas performances no filme “As Golpistas” e no intervalo do Super Bowl 2020. A estrela comoveu a todos com um discurso inspirador sobre o poder das mulheres latinas.
Outras celebridades de destaque foram o magnata do entretenimento, empresário e filantropo Tyler Perry, que recebeu o prêmio The People’s Champion; e a atriz e produtora Tracee Ellis Ross, que recebeu o prêmio The Fashion Icon.
As atuações da noite incluíram a poderosa interpretação de Justin Bieber de “Holy” e de sua música recém-lançada “Lonely”, além da performance enérgica de “Ungodly Hour”, da dupla Chloe x Hale.
O PEOPLE’S CHOICE AWARDS 2020 figurou nos trend topics ontem no Brasil, mesmo em dia de eleições municipais e com apuração em andamento. Hoje, dia 16 de novembro, às 20h, Renata Kuerten e Maicon Santini comentam tudo o que rolou na grande festa do People’s Choice Awards no Front Row do @eonline no YouTube e no Facebook.
